What We Do

A Lawyer Committed to Working for You.

My name is Sara Gabin. Since September 1981, I have helped injured and disabled people with Social Security Disability, Workers’ Compensation and Personal Injury Claims.

The Clock is Ticking

Claims for Social Security Disability, Workers’ Compensation and Personal Injury all have strict time limits for filing a claim and appealing any notices or awards.

Good, winnable claims have been lost when a client missed the opportunity to file. It is easy to lose valuable time trying to resolve the matter yourself. Hire an advocate whose first priority is protecting your interest.

Contact me right away at 503. 620.3171 or slgabin@pacifier.com, to discuss your case and learn more about my practice areas.

  • Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) — As soon as you know you are too sick to work, apply for Social Security Disability and/or Supplemental Security Income immediately. If your claim is denied, (and most claims are denied upon application) contact me immediately at 503. 620-3171, or at slgabin@pacifier.com. I have years of experience helping individuals in your situation appeal a denied claim. I push a case through as fast as the system allows, because I know that you need your benefits urgently. Do not lose benefits by waiting too long to appeal a notice.
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI) — You may be eligible for Supplemental Security Income (SSI). This is often an option for people not able to obtain Social Security Disability (SSDI). The application and appeal processes are exactly the same as for SSDI.
  • Personal Injury - Motor Vehicle Accidents — This is one of the most common instances of personal injury. When you have been hurt, contact me right away at 503.620-3171, or at slgabin@pacifier.com.
  • Personal Injury - Unsafe Premises — This is a common instance of personal injury. It includes such events as “slip and fall” injuries on property owned by someone else. When you have been hurt, contact me right away at 503.620-3171, or at slgabin@pacifier.com.
  • Workers' Compensation —As soon as you know you have been hurt on the job, tell your employer exactly what happened and ask to file a claim. Many winnable claims are lost because an injured was reluctant to give the employer clear and timely notice of injury. Get medical help right away and tell the doctor exactly what happened. Many claims are lost because an injured worker was reluctant to get medical help and tell the doctor exactly what happened. If your claim is denied, if your claim has been closed, or if the workers’ comp insurance company is trying to “settle” or claim, or “buy out” your rights, contact me right away at 503.620-3171, or at slgabin@pacifier.com.
  • Third-Party Claims — This is an area of personal injury that co-exists with a workers’ compensation injury. It occurs when a worker is injured at work but while under the direction someone other than his/her immediate employer. In these instances, you may be eligible for both workers compensation and a personal injury recovery against the party directing the work. As soon as you know you have been injured by a third-party, contact me right away at 503.620-3171, or at slgabin@pacifier.com.
