About Sara

I am Sara, shareholder of Sara L. Gabin, P.C., Attorney at Law. Thank you for visiting my website.

I serve injured and disabled individuals who need representation in Social Security Disability (SSDI), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Oregon Workers’ Compensation, Third-Party and other Personal Injury claims.

I represent clients throughout Oregon, but primarily in Multnomah, Clackamas, Washington and Yamhill Counties.

I have been a member of the Oregon Bar since 1981. I graduated from the University of Michigan in 1978 with a BA in Economics, and from Willamette University in 1981 with a Juris Doctor (JD).

In addition to the Oregon State Bar and Federal District Court for the District of Oregon, I am a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR), the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA), the Oregon Workers’ Compensation Association (OWCA), and Oregon Women Lawyers (OWLS).

My Clients

My clients are generally honest, hard working people who have become too ill to work, have been injured on a job, or who have hurt by someone else’s mistake. When they attempt to claim the benefits or recovery they deserve, all too often they encounter bureaucratic indifference or roadblocks, employer hostility, or insurance company resistance or pressure. They are often without income or other resources and have run out of ways to help themselves. When a client comes to see me, my job is to listen to the client’s situation, give candid advice, and if I am able to help, act as fast as possible without sacrificing thorough case preparation.

At least half of my clientele are referrals from former clients or their friends and relatives.

My Commitment to You

When you are my client, you come first and I serve you. You own your case. My job is to navigate your case through the procedural and adversarial hurdles until you receive the best recovery possible.

I do not run a “mill” with thousands of cases and overworked staff. Your case is not part of a “percentage” operation that is just about winning some – losing some. It is my mission and professional responsibility to give the highest level of service and to give each case one-hundred percent of the attention it requires. And that begins with my screening your case as carefully as possible from the moment we first speak. After you hire me, whenever you call, you will reach someone who remembers you and knows what your case is about.

As I navigate your case through the legal mazes, I will keep you posted along the way. Because you have no time to lose, I will proceed as fast as possible without sacrificing case preparation.

I have learned that no two cases are alike. All cases have strong and weak points. You deserve to hear only my candid opinion about your case. After listening to you describe your injury or disability, and after reviewing the medical evidence, I will tell you “how I see it” and advise you accordingly.
